Ten years ago, our journey together began in the heart of Nigeria, where fate orchestrated a meeting that would change our lives forever. Nick, visiting his in-laws on a business trip, walked into an office expecting nothing more than a routine day. Instead, he found Ada-a young woman with a radiant smile and a gentle spirit, seated gracefully at her desk as the office manager. That first encounter was brief, but unforgettable. Nick was instantly captivated by Ada’s warmth and kindness, sensing a connection that would soon transcend continents.

As Nick returned to the United States, distance could not dim the spark that had ignited between us. Through countless phone calls and messages, our friendship blossomed into love, each conversation drawing us closer together. Six months later, Nick returned to Nigeria, this time with a heart full of hope and the intention to ask Ada for her hand in marriage. Surrounded by family, we celebrated our traditional wedding-a beautiful union blessed by love, laughter, and the joyful embrace of both our families. Ada soon joined Nick in the United States, where we began building a life side by side.

Over the past decade, our love has deepened and evolved in ways we could never have imagined. Together, we’ve welcomed three wonderful children, navigated life’s challenges, and celebrated its triumphs. Ada’s unwavering strength, positivity, and boundless love inspire Nick every day. She is his confidante, his cheerleader, and his greatest supporter. Nick’s devotion to our family, his thoughtfulness, and his joy in life’s simple moments make every day brighter. Our engagement and marriage were rooted in the rich traditions of our Igbo heritage. Both families gathered to bless our union, sharing Ariam palm wine, delicious food, and heartfelt joy as we embarked on our lifelong journey together.
